City of Pleasanton: Aquatics

Gain hands on experience working with children as you assist our swim instructors in teaching swim lessons! Summer lessons run Saturday mornings and weekdays in the mornings and evenings.

Volunteers interested in this position must attend a Junior Swim Instructor Orientation that will be scheduled during the week of June 5-9, 2023. More information will be sent out as that week approaches.

Volunteers must be 12 - 14 years old for this job! 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Aquatics! The Dolores Bengtson Aquatic Center is Pleasanton’s premiere aquatic facility. It features a 50-meter Olympic size pool, a shallow pool with an attached water slide, and a 25-meter ‘L-shaped’ lap pool with an attached diving well which has two 1-meter diving boards. The aquatic center offers year-round lap swim and water exercise programs and seasonal recreation swim and American Red Cross swim lessons.
