Gallery Attendants welcome visitors to the Harrington Gallery during regular gallery hours (Wednesday–Saturday), special events, and occasional evening programs. Attendants are encouraged to familiarize themselves with current exhibitions and artists in order to enrich the visitor experience, answer questions about the facility, and point guests toward other art displayed throughout the Firehouse Arts Center. From time to time, Attendants may also assist with other gallery projects as needed.

The Firehouse Arts Center is Pleasanton's premier destination for performing and visual arts. The intimate 220-seat theater hosts a year-round lineup of music, theater, and comedy, while the Harrington Gallery showcases rotating exhibitions from local and regional artists. The center also features classrooms and rotating art exhibits in the lobby and upstairs.

Volunteers are at the heart of the Firehouse Arts Center experience. The two main volunteer roles, theater ushers and gallery attendants, help ensure every guest feels welcome and has a memorable visit.
