City of Pleasanton: Aquatics

Junior Lifeguarding

Gain valuable experience working at a pool with your friends! Junior guards will be able to help lifeguards during summer recreational swim, but are not expected to make rescues as they are not American Red Cross certified lifeguards. They are able to assist with the rescue process by assisting with crowd control, bringing equipment to the scene of the rescue or helping with zone coverage.

Volunteers interested in this position must take the Junior Lifeguard Training course prior to starting. Junior Lifeguard Training courses are offered during the Pleasanton Unified School District Spring Break and during the summer break.

Volunteers must be 12 - 14 years old for this job!

Welcome to the City of Pleasanton Aquatics Volunteer Page!
