We're looking for Community Ambassadors to attend events and community activities to engage with members of the public and promote Wood Green’s free support services, Health & Wellbeing Checks, Workshops & spread our animal welfare message.



Various throughout either St Neots OR Huntingdon


Days or Hours required

Flexible to suit you.

Both Weekday and Weekend hours available.


Description of duties

Duties will sometimes include setting-up (this requires an element of physical work), facilitating drop-ins, leading educational games, leading craft activities and delivering talks. You will be sign posting pet owners to the charities free support services and helping them to improve their pet’s lives.


How will you make a difference?

Community Ambassadors become the local point of contact for pet owners and Wood Green! They educate, advise and support pet owners so they can enjoy a mutually rewarding and happy relationship with their pets.


Skills and experience you will need

  • You are a ‘people person’ who is confident in talking to members of the public.
  • You are an animal lover!
  • You will be confident to interact with children and young people.
  • You will be confident to interact with animals.
  • You will be a good listener.  
  • You will be reliable.

You will receive training, on-going support and a full volunteer induction.
