Volunteer Drivers Mate
What better way to spend any spare time you have and are kind enough to give us, than joining our shop team to help raise money through sales of donated items. This income directly supports pets and their people in need of support.
The driver’s mate will accompany our Woodgreen Drivers on deliveries, collections and possible home clearances.
This is a diverse role which would suit someone who is physically fit and enjoys getting out and about.
Where is this role based:
- Our Distribution Centre, Godmanchester
What the role will involve:
- Large amount of manual handling
- Accompanying our drivers on collections & pick up’s
- Possible house clearances
- Working closely with the shop management team
Desirable Attributes
- Be reasonably physically fit
- Good written and spoken English
Essential Attributes
- Over 18 years old
- Provide 2 referees
- Not a Family member or Partner
- Not current member of Woodgreen Staff or Volunteers
- Known for over 6 months
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive and friendly manner
- Able to work as a part of a team as well as on your own

How many hours per week would I be required to volunteer?
We work around you!! You have been kind enough to give up your free time, so all voluntary hours are negotiable. Our distribution centre operates Mon-Fri 7am – 3pm.
