Volunteer Role Description

Role – Volunteer Steamer

 

What better way to spend any spare time you have, and are kind enough to give us, than joining our shop team to help raise money through sales of donated items. This income helps sick, injured & homeless animals to gain a better quality of life through our innovative rehabilitation & re homing programme, as well as educational support for animal owners and many other elements to what we do.

Do you have an eye for fashion and love the look of a freshly ironed shirt? If the answer is yes, then  we have a role for you.

We have extensive Ladies, Men’s and children’s sections in our shops, of which require steaming before garments go on sale. We will train you how to steam those creases away.

Laugh and catch up with other volunteers and at the end of the day go home feeling satisfied and proud that you have helped to raise vital funds to support  Whether you’re a lover of vintage or fashion clothing, or fancy the company of other friendly volunteers, then our shop is for you.

 

What the role will involve:

  • Use of steaming equipment
  • Hanging clothes
  • Attaching pricing labels
  • Sorting

 

Skills and experience preferable

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Positive and friendly manner
  • Able to work as a part of a team as well as on your own

How many hours per week would i be required to volunteer?

We work around you!!  You have been kind enough to give up your free time so all voluntary hours are negotiable. We trade 7 days per week and as such we do have shifts which require talent every day of the week.
