Self Employed Van Driver

All of us here at Wood Green The Animals Charity are passionate about caring for pets in need.


From humble beginnings in 1924 Wood Green, The Animals Charity has grown to become one of the leading animal welfare organisations in the UK.


We take in animals of all shapes and sizes! As well as cats and dogs, we find loving new homes for thousands of chickens, rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, goats, sheep, ferrets and more!


We are looking to hire a Self Employed Van Driver to support our passionate and expanding Retail team on an flexible ad hoc basis.


In this role, you will be required to:


Load and unload the van with stock and donations.

Move stock between our Shops and Warehouse.

Help in the completion of house clearances.

Communicate with the Public, our Supporters and Volunteers.

Extensive travel across East Anglia and the Midlands

In order to be considered for this role, you must have:-


Your own Van which must be kept in a good condition, hold business use insurance and comply to any legal requirements.

Good local geographical knowledge

Excellent time keeping and organisational skills

Willingness to maintain a high standard and represent the charity in a professional manner.

Full, driving licence

Previous experience as a delivery driver, sector experience desired but not required.

Part-time hours: 8 per week
