Do you have availability to support Woodgreen with a 6-week project in April-May 2026?
Our Dog section at Woodgreen are looking for Volunteer drivers to support us during the filming of our next series of 'The Dog House'.
Many of the dogs in the series are lucky enough to spend time during their rehoming journey in a foster home. Therefore, we are looking for volunteers who are confident drivers to courier our dogs between our Woodgreen site in Godmanchester and their foster homes, and vice versa for filming.
What will I be doing?
- Driving Woodgreen’s charity vehicles within 1 hour's radius of Woodgreen.
- Providing driving support to our volunteer dog fosterers.
- Driving a range of Woodgreen vehicles. Including a range of sizes, both manual and automatic, including electric vehicles.
- Collecting dogs from their foster homes and transporting them to Woodgreen for onsite filming and then returning them back to their foster home.
- Representing Woodgreen and ‘The Dog House’ in a professional and caring manner to maintain or increase customer satisfaction.
Where is this role based?
The volunteering location will be at our Godmanchester site, PE29 2NH travelling to our foster carer’s homes. With our operations manager being your point of contact.
What is Woodgreen looking for?
- A confident driver, happy to drive a small Woodgreen van.
- Friendly, conscientious and a good communicator.
- Confident working alone.
- A volunteer who could commit to this 6-week project.
- The ability to always remain empathetic and non-judgmental.
- Volunteers over the age of 18 with a full clean driving licence.
- You’ll be expected to comply with driving licence checks and the Charity’s Driver and Vehicle policy. Plus complete role specific training and comply with Woodgreen’s policies during induction.

How many hours per week would I be required to volunteer?
Some of our volunteers help on multiple days and some once a week. We aim to be flexible with our Volunteers; however we are looking for volunteers to commit for 6 weeks to this project.
- Fridays - 1pm - 5pm
- Saturdays - 8am -12pm & 1pm - 5pm
- Sundays - 9am - 12 pm & 1pm - 5pm
A full induction will be provided for this role which will need to be completed before the project commences.
