National Week of Service - 04-29-2017 Chollas Creek Environmental Project! City of San Diego "Week of Service" - Habitat Restoration Volunteer
Habitat Restoration Volunteers will assist in a variety of restoration projects depending on habitat needs at Chollas Creek located in City Council Districts 4 & 9!
Activities may include: planting of native plant species and the removal of non-native plant species, erosion control and moisture retention efforts.
Help us keep Chollas Creek safe and beautiful!
Chollas Creek is a heavily used waterway and Open Space in Districts 4 and 9 which citizens from all over San Diego use on a daily basis. During the week of service we will be helping to maintain this wonderful resource so that everyone can continue to enjoy it in the coming year! Come out and help us for this one-time event hosted by the Park and Recreation Department during the "City of San Diego Week of Service" to make San Diego a world class city for all!
Shifts from 9:00a.m.- 12:00p.m. on April 29th, come for the whole time or join us for as long as you comfortably can. Please wear closed toe shoes, long sleeves and pants and proper sun protection. Water and a limited number of work gloves will be provided, if you have your own leather work gloves, please bring them with you!
