Environmental Enhancement - Habitat Restoration Volunteer

To protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), all recreation centers, pools, and facilities managed by the Parks and Recreation Department will close to the public at the conclusion of operations on Sunday, March 15, 2020. Facilities will be closed effective Monday, March 16, 2020, until at least Monday, April 6, 2020. For the time being, all volunteers are asked to stay home, thank you.

Help restore the native habitat of your local parks and open space areas. Habitat Restoration Volunteers assist in a variety of restoration projects depending on habitat needs and volunteer ability. Potential projects may include: planting of native plant species and the removal of non-native plant species, erosion control and moisture retention efforts.

Qualifications Required

  • Annual Volunteer and Intern Training Must be I have watched the training video and read the policies.
  • Your Age Group Must be at least 18 and older
