Bus Driver

Position overview:

Volunteer bus drivers support the organisation by transporting staff and our clients to a variety of activities as and when required. 

Activities and tasks:

Duties will vary depending on the work area. Tasks may include:

  • Undertake inspection of bus for daily use, and report any issues
  • Follow directions of bus supervisor
  • Ensure vehicle is clean at the start and end of shift
  • Update log book, and record any issues as required

Skills and experience required:

  • Australian Open C class driver license with a clean driving record
  • Hold a Light/medium ridged drivers licence
  • The physical ability to drive a bus and assist young people on and off the bus
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • An understanding of working with children
  • Medical clearance form if required
