Represent WEAVE at speaking events, public events and activities, helping to educate our communities about domestic violence and sexual assault. Must be a certified peer counselor (see our peer counselor training listed). There is an additional 3-hours of communication training required for this program.
Join us to educate the community and raise awareness for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking. Speaker's Bureau representatives speak and present to various groups within our community during public events and activities. Volunteers may also be asked to participate in outreach events as well as speaking as local middle and high schools.
We ask for a 1 year commitment, however there is no minimum number of events to attend. This opportunity is flexible and can easily fit into your schedule.
This opportunity requires completion of: an application, a background check, attendance at a volunteer orientation, an interview and completion of our 70 hour Peer Certification Training.
