California Volunteer Legislative Ambassador
The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) is the nation’s leading voice advocating for public policies that are helping to defeat cancer. As the advocacy affiliate of the American Cancer Society, ACS CAN works to encourage elected officials and candidates to make cancer a top national priority. ACS CAN utilizes its expert capacity in lobbying, policy, grassroots and communications to amplify the voices of patients in support of laws and policies that save lives from cancer.
Being an American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) California Volunteer Legislative Ambassador will require time and energy, but it can be an incredibly rewarding experience.
We have all been touched by cancer. In 2013, nearly 144,800 Californians will be diagnosed with cancer and nearly 55,485 will die of the disease.
You can make a tremendous difference by becoming a Legislative Ambassador and demanding that your elected officials get involved in the fight against cancer.
