Crisis Intervention Training
Stand Up Placer is pleased to annnounce that we are acccepting applications for our Crisis Intervention Training.
Do you have a heart and a passion for helping those in need? At Stand Up Placer, we assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through providing therapy, offering a 24-hour crisis/support line, offering a 24-hour safehouse, legal assistance, weekly support groups, and many other services that help empower a victim to become a survivor.
Volunteers at Stand Up Placer have a direct role in providing these services and are an essential piece to the agency. Are you ready to get involved? Are you ready to Stand Up with us? Your help could empower a victim to become a survivor. Your could be the person that helps save a life.
Benefits include:
- 65-hour Crisis Counselor training course, plus shadow training
- Flexible schedule set by volunteer
- Gain valuable hands-on experience that is applicable to areas of social work, psychology, counseling, law enforcement, legal, child development, case managament, crisis intervention, facilitating support groups, office procedures, adding work experience to a resume, etc.
Earn credits for school courses, externship, or internship
Fall Crisis Training Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays (6pm-9pm) and every other Saturdays (8am-5pm)
