Enzler Society Member 

The Enzler Society members are young adults who are dedicated to supporting Catholic Charities’ mission, serving Catholic Charities programs and clients, and eventually become financial supporters of Catholic Charities. The Enzler Society is a program of the Development Department and other client serving programs of Catholic Charities. 

 

Impact of the volunteer: 

  • The Enzler Society members will cultivate a sense of community among its membership and with the people they encounter at Catholic Charities. They will become conversant about the mission of Catholic Charities and their experiences as volunteers.  

 

Duties & Responsibilities: 

The Enzler Society Members will:   

  • Participate in a minimum of 5 volunteer events a year 
  • Plan and conduct periodic “good life” activities for residents of Catholic Charities’ Welcome Home Re-entry Program clients living at Mulumba House 
  • Attend Catholic Charities’ volunteer orientation  
  • Recruit new members to join the Enzler Society
  • Contribute their own testimonials and photos to share 
  • Sign up for activities in advance to help track attendance –people and hours served 
  • Serve for 2-3 years
  • Take on leadership roles for service projects and other events 

Qualifications: 

  • Have a heart for service 
  • Desire to support Catholic Charities’ mission  

Desired Skills, Experience & Characteristics: 

  • Ability to contribute energy and enthusiasm to group activities  
  • Ability to work with the group to accomplish projects 
  • Ability to follow instructions  

Volunteer Benefits: 

Enzler Society Members will: 

  • Develop a working knowledge of Catholic Charities  
  • Be able to advocate for Catholic Charities and the people who access services here 
  • Become a recruiter of young people in the ADW who want to become supporters of Catholic Charities 
  • Use and refine leadership and communication skills 
  • Use and refine community building and organizing abilities  

Support: 

 

Enzler Society Members will be supported by:  

  • Opportunities for training via volunteer orientation and program-specific orientation 
  • On-site volunteer project supervision or assistance from Catholic Charities staff 
  • Enzler Society Leaders 
  • Catholic Charities staff liaison 

Time Commitment: 

  • 3-5 hours a month  

Location: 

  • Volunteer events and other activities will be in-person and at various locations

  • Donor Relations Associate, Development Department
