Montgomery County Dental Clinic Receptionist Volunteer

Catholic Charities’ Montgomery County Medical Clinic provides access to primary care for adults and children, sub‐acute ambulatory care, health education and disease management. We serve people of all ages who are low‐income and uninsured and provide low‐cost, patient-centered primary and specialty care services on‐site.

Montgomery County Dental Clinic Receptionist Volunteers will help provide a welcoming environment for patients of the dental clinics. They will help leverage the efforts of our staff by performing front desk reception duties such as answering phones, providing information and referrals, and other administrative tasks.

Montgomery County Dental Clinic Receptionists will be responsible for:

• Greeting clients when they first walk in
• Providing information and referrals to clients
• Answering/making phone calls
• Assisting staff with administrative tasks

Desired Skills, Experience & Characteristics:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good phone skills
• Good customer service and communication skills

Qualifications:

• Volunteers must be fluent in Spanish and English
• Volunteers must be 18 years or older

Support:

• Volunteers will participate in Catholic Charities Volunteer Orientation
• Volunteers will receive on-site training at the Catholic Charities Center of Montgomery County
• Volunteers will have on-site supervision

Time Commitment:

• Volunteers are needed to serve for at least 6 hours a week
• Volunteers can serve during either daytime or evening hours

Location: Catholic Charities Center, 12247 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring, MD 20902

• Parking is available in front of the facility
• Also accessible through the DC Metro Rail Red Line Glenmont station and the Y2/Y7 bus
