Laundry Support at Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter
Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter urgently needs volunteers to help with daily laundry to ensure clean sheets are available for our guests each night and assist guests with washing their personal laundry. Your support makes a direct impact on the comfort and dignity of those we serve.
Preferred volunteer hours are 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, but if those don’t work for you, we welcome you to come at a time that fits your schedule—anytime between 8:30 AM and 10:00 PM. Please email Keshia.Adams@CC-DC.org if you are coming outside of the preferred hours.
Feel free to bring a book or something to do between loads or spend time greeting the guests!

Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter Program Description
Harriet Tubman Women's Shelter is a year-round low-barrier shelter serving up to 175 women each night. Case management and social services are available for residents and include referrals to obtain medical assistance, employment services, and more. Referrals are also available for clients dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges. Day Program services are offered to residents Monday-Friday, 10am-4pm.
