Tools and Training will be provided.
Please plan to meet near the park entrance at 9:00 a.m.
Restrooms not available at the park.
What To Bring: Leather gloves if you have them, water bottle, and a snack.
What To Wear: Sturdy, closed-toed shoes or boots.
Long pants and long sleeves.
Dress for the Weather.
Work Party will take place Rain or Shine!
**Volunteers under the age of 18 MUST have a parent/guardian sign them in when arriving OR bring a paper copy of the Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability signed by the parent/guardian**

Our roots
Park Volunteers, formerly known as "CHIP-in!" originated in 2003 when Parks Tacoma faced a lack of funds for maintaining all of the city's parks. Rather than take drastic measures - simply closing parks and walking away - a proactive approach was taken to develop a partnership between the park district and the community to help keep parks open and operating.
