Dakota County Volunteer Network (DCVN) - 9.11: DCVN Sampling Series: 9/11 Day Community Food Packing Event
Dakota County Volunteer Network Sampling Series 2025

Interested in volunteering but not sure where to go? Looking to try a few things and see what best fits your interest and skill sets? Just looking to dip your toe in the water first? Then this is a great opportunity for you!
DCVN Sampling Series seeks to connect local volunteer programs with fresh faces and new interest from our local communities. These events are one-time commitments that seek to show participants a glimpse of an organization and the good work that they do with the option to get fully plugged in after the fact.
This Month's Event: 9/11 Day Food Packing Opportunities
9/11 Day is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created by 9/11 family members immediately following the September 11th tragedy. Our organization created and annually organizes the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, the largest federally-recognized day of service in the country, in partnership with AmeriCorps and our hundreds of generous sponsors and partners across the nation.
To register for a local event, visit our website at https://911day.org/meal-packs-sign-up/
We partner with the local Feeding America-affiliated food bank in each city where we host a meal pack, ensuring that all of the food stays local and, by working with the local hunger experts, we ensure that it reaches those most in-need of it.
