WHEP Trainings (Registered 2024 WHEP Volunteers Only) - 6.08: WHEP Training: Macroinvertebrate ID
WHEP Macro ID Training
Thank you for registering for the Dakota County Wetland Health Evaluation Program (WHEP). The project was started in 1997 and has been expanding ever since. It is only possible by the continued involvement from interested people like you.
At the WHEP Macroinvertebrate ID Training, you will work with your team and learn about the macro-invertebrates found in local wetlands and how to identify them using a MN Pollution Control Agency-authored guidebook. This training will consist of a classroom presentation and hands on lab work. A light breakfast will be served.
The trainings are not mandatory but are recommended. If you can’t come to the training, take a look at past videos and presentations on the WHEP website.
