LeDuc Historic Estate, Hastings - LeDuc Historic Estate House Host

 

General Description

House Hosts are the first person to greet visitors to our historical sites.  We are looking for individuals who enjoy interacting with the public and are willing to keep up-to-date with DCHS events.  House Hosts are key players in an enjoyable guest experience at our sites.

Seasonal with varying shifts

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests at the sites and check them in through Square (iPad enabled cash register system)
  • Answer phones and answer basic questions about the sites 
  • Take reservations for events and tours
  • Complete chores such as dusting, sweeping, ironing, and vacuuming
  • Decorate, maintain items inside the house

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years old or older
  • Flexible schedules preferred
  • Comfortable with interacting with people from multiple backgrounds
  • Skills on an iPad and Square are not a must, but welcomed

Activity Level

Medium - May involve varying amounts of activity (long walks, rough terrain, and moderate physical exertion. May not be recommended for volunteers with physical limitations. Comfortable, sturdy shoes recommended.

 

Required Training

Any training will be conducted by site staff.
