Lake Byllesby Regional Park - 9.25: National Public Lands Day - Lake Byllesby Regional Park Open House
Join us this year for National Public Lands Day as we celebrate the 2019-2020 master plan improvements at Lake Byllesby Regional Park. Staff and volunteers will be onsite offering tours of the park and activities in the new nature-themed play area of Lake Byllesby Beach. Visitors can enjoy a self-guided walk or bike ride along the new paved lakeside trail with interpretive spots out to Echo Point. Enjoy games, food trucks and fun. Live music will be performed by the Northerly Gales from 5-7 p.m.

Event Set Up (Help set up our performance pop up tent, set out event signage, parking cones, and more)
Event Greeters (Help greet event attendees at our Parks Information tent, hand out cookies, help take down tents at the end)
Play Makers (Lawn games! Help event attendees enjoy our collection of lawn games. No experience needed, just-in-time training provided.)
Community Mural (Staff our giant mural station and help event attendees paint what inspires them. No experience needed, just-in-time training provided.)
Campfire Tender (Staff our new large fire ring and keep the fire burning. If it’s a warm day, and a campfire is silly, we may have you help elsewhere 😊).
Canoe Demo Assistant (Help people get in and out of canoes if needed, hand out lifejackets and paddles on the beach. No experience needed, wear shoes/mud boots that can get wet. Just-in-time training provided.)
Fishing Assistant (Help people fishing from the new fishing pier. Baiting hooks, re-stringing line and taking off fish. Prior fishing experience needed.)
Minimum Time Commitment
Varies per shift assigned.
Mild - May include walking short distances over relatively level terrain. Periods of standing or sitting will be required. Comfortable shoes recommended.
