General Description

The party is over but that does not mean you cannot have some fun frolicking outside! Help us take down luminaries that were used the night before. Volunteers will meet at the Visitor Center to get trail assignments and then head out to collect any luminaries and luminary debris out on the trails. All supplies needed for the job will be provided by staff. 

Volunteers who help with this opportunity will get a free ticket (one per person volunteering) to use to access the NYE party the night before. Pickup location for tickets will be at the Lebanon Hills Visitor Center in Eagan.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Help take down over 1,200 luminaries.
• This event will be outside during the duration of this event, so dress accordingly.
• We will provide all the supplies needed to do the job. 

Minimum Qualifications

• All ages are welcome. This is a great event for families! 
• Anyone volunteering who is under 16 years of age requires adult supervision during the event.
• Must be able & comfortable with walking 1-3 miles over regularly level terrain that might be covered in snow/ice and other debris. 

Minimum Time Commitment

2 - 4 hours, times will vary based on routes given to volunteers. 

Activity Level

Moderate - Includes light work such as bending over and picking up items under 5 lbs. on a continuous basis and walking moderate distances (1-3 miles) over relatively level terrain. Comfortable shoes recommended.
