Farmington Library, Farmington - Farmington Library: Dakota County Seed Library
General Description
The Dakota County Library and UMN Extension Master Gardeners in Dakota County are partnering to create a seed library at the Farmington Library to improve access to organic, locally grown foods as well as promoting the use of native plants as a sustainable landscaping practice. The seed library will be coordinated by volunteer Master Gardeners and may involve other community volunteers to help with the packaging and labeling of donated seeds. Master Gardeners will also offer regular informational programming at the library on topics related to gardening and seed saving.

Mild - May include walking short distances over relatively level terrain. Periods of standing or sitting will be required. Comfortable shoes recommended.
