Disaster Preparedness and Response - City of Carlsbad

Thank you so very much for your interest in learning more about the Carlsbad Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program.

Carlsbad residents interested in joining the 2021 Community Emergency Response Team academy are invited to attend an information session ; an invitation will be sent out in mid-December 2020. Participants for the upcoming academy will be chosen from those attending the orientation.

Those who are selected to participate in the academy receive over 24 hours of free training, including fire safety, disaster medical operations, and light search and rescue.

This training is open to Carlsbad residents 18 years of age or older. A background check and medical waiver are required by those chosen for the training.
