Organisations Summary:

Altrusa Queenstown is a community organisation which aims to make a difference in our community; broaden your knowledge through speakers, workshops and conferences; develop leadership skills in a supportive environment; develop business and personal networks and most importantly have fun.

Altrusa Queenstown fundraises and directly works with the community to help make a difference. We run a Charity Golf Tournament, Haberdashery Sale, Fashion Shows, Quiz Nights and volunteer our time at Wakatipu Home and Hospital, Wakatipu Kindergarten and a number of other events.
Recently we have supported Search and Rescue, Lakes District Air Rescue Trust, The Youth Booth, Wakatipu High School Literacy Prizes, local babies through Plunket, the Big Buddy Programme and Wakatipu Kindergarten.

Volunteers are required to help organise and run our events and will be invited to join Altrusa committees.

Time Committment:

Altrusa Queenstown meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month at the Senior Citizens Rooms on Memorial Street, Queenstown at 5:30pm.

We're looking for enthusiastic people who may want to meet more people, make a difference in their community and be able to help out when they can.

Skills Gained:

You will meet a range of awesome people, make friends, be able to give back to the community (as according to your own time availability), and make a difference without significant financial outlay.
