GirlGuidingNZ have been in NZ for over 100 years

GirlGuiding NZ is all about preparing girls for making the most of life ahead. Our aim is to help girls develop skills, knowledge, values and a sense of adventure through an experiential learning ‘hands on’ programme that’s designed to be relevant to the interests of today’s girls. We provide a fun, safe environment where girls are encouraged to be themselves, where they can discover their potential, develop an awareness of others and where their ambition is nurtured.

We provide a wide range of activities - challenging outdoor programmes, international travel opportunities, community involvement projects, chances to learn new skills and develop the skills you already have, leadership training, opportunities to have your say and more.

Tasks:

Leaders and assistant leaders of Pippins, Brownies and Guides

To plan and run girl focused, balanced and exciting programmes that encompasses the values of Girl Guidng NZ using the Leader’s Guide and other girl guiding NZ resources.

Effective record keeping.

Located in Cromwell, Queenstown, Frankton and Wanaka.

Time Commitment:

Minimum of 6 months but ideally longer.

2-3 hours per week during school term with the odd weekend away

Skills required:

Is 17 years or over and at least 18yrs if Unit team leader

Is a positive role model for girls and leaders

Relates and interacts well with the age group in the unit and their parents

Has good written and verbal communication including giving and receiving advice. 

Able to work in a team willing to undertake training
