Daffodil Day gives hope for the 1 in 3 New Zealanders affected by cancer

Daffodil Day is The Cancer Society’s most important annual fundraiser. The money raised is used to support patients with cancer and their families, fund breakthrough cancer research and help reduce the incidence of cancer for our children and grandchildren. Your gift of time or money this Daffodil Day will make a real difference!
The Cancer Society is seeking volunteers to help at 7 donation tables in Wanaka. 
We ask that the volunteers greet people, sell merchandise and collect donations.
Time Commitment:
Daffodil Day is on 30th Aug 2019 8:30am - 4:30pm. Volunteers are required for one hour slots and are welcome to stay on for more time! 
Located at various locations around Wanaka.
Skills Required:
Volunteers should have a positive, friendly attitude. 
Two of the seven locations are indoors. Five of the tables will be located outdoors so it is important to bring layers and stay warm. A Cancer Society vest will be provided.

Medical Center
New World
Dough Bin
Paper Plus
Post Office
Mitre 10
Hammer & Nail Cafe
A list of FAQ and answers will be provided as well as on call support and hourly rounds by coordinators.
Skills Gained:
Personal satisfaction, contribution to the community, sales experience, public speaking
