Organisation Summary:

Coastguard Queenstown is a volunteer organisation dedicated to providing a full time search and rescue unit on Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding waterways.

We are dedicated to giving the Queenstown community fully trained crew permanently on standby to provide assistance in our waters 24 hrs a day 365 days a year. 

Tasks:

In addition to the active crew volunteers are required on a board level in a variety of roles including administration and fundraising. 

They are currently seeking a secretary/administrator to take meetings at their monthly meetings and provide administrative support when needed.

Time Commitment:

1 year minimum and available to attend monthly meetings.

Located in Queenstown

Skills Required:

18 yrs+ Volunteers should have an interest in the activities of the Coastguard and strive to enhance the reputation of the organisation within the region. Financial skills, IT, administration and good organisational skills are required for the majority of dry roles.

Skills Gained:

Volunteers gain satisfaction from contributing to an essential organisation and meeting like minded people with a similar commitment. Volunteers can also develop administration and fundraising skills.
