The Salvation Army - Racine

Social Services - Healthy Kids Diner Preparation Volunteer

Healthy Kids Diner Food Preparation Volunteer

The Healthy Kids Diner operates all year long, Monday-Friday except for holidays, providing nutritious meals for children in need at the four COP House sites.

Volunteers for this position will arrive at 12:00 p.m. and be prepared to donate about 3 hours of service time. They will assist in food preparation activities ranging from slicing or counting produce, to packing food service containers and cleaning up, and no cooking would be required. Assisting the staff in this way makes an important contribution to their ability to serve so many children in need. Without help, they struggle to have enough hands to cook, prepare and serve 1-200 children a day, and every volunteer is greatly appreciated.

If you find this opportunity speaks to your call for service to your community, there is ample opportunity to volunteer on a regular basis.
