Youth Activities - After-School Program

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The After School Program is designed to provide quality care for school age youth after school hours. These program provides youth with a safe, positive, and stimulating environment to explore learning and experience academic and personal success. Volunteers are the heart of the program. They work with individual or groups of students. In addition to offering academic support, volunteers serve as a role model and friends to the students. We are currently accepting applications for the school-year programs. SPECIFIC DUTIES: Assisting with all aspects of after school program set-up and clean-up. Aiding in the snack distribution. Assisting with after-school programs, as needed, including enrichment programs, workshops, homework assistance, etc. Communicating with and supporting program staff providing youth programs QUALIFICATIONS: Desire to work with elementary and middle school youth in a positive atmosphere; Creativity, patience, a good work ethic, and a sense of humor; Experience working with youth; High school diploma or GED. Proven experience in youth development and community-based programs; SCHEDULE: Monday 1:00pm to 5:00pm and Tuesday through Friday 2:30pm to 5:00pm
