Ongoing Hope Center Opportunities - Dry Goods Pantry Sorting

Help Provide Food to Those in Need!

Are you looking for a hands-on way to give back to your community? The Salvation Army needs volunteers to help organize and ensure that our pantry remains well-stocked, organized, and ready to serve our shelter residents and community.

Responsibilities:

  • Sort and organize donated non-perishables
  • Check expiration dates and ensure food safety standards are met
  • Stock shelves and maintain an orderly pantry space
  • Assemble food packages for distribution (during the holiday season)
  • Assist in inventory tracking and restocking as needed
  • Follow pantry guidelines and safety procedures

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry boxes (up to 25 lbs.)
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow sorting guidelines
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to assist where needed
  • No experience-necessary training will be provided!

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible shifts available Monday – Friday

Qualifications Required

  • Background Check
  • Age Category Must be at least 18 or older
  • How much can you lift comfortably? Must be at least 30lbs
  • Safe From Harm Training Must be at least Basic: Modules 1 - 4
