Youth Groups - Youth Group Volunteer

Volunteers often assist with youth ministry activities, small group discussions, and events, while building relationships with youth and providing guidance. They may also be involved in mentoring and outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentoring: Supporting youth in their spiritual growth, offering guidance and encouragement. 
  • Building relationships: Getting to know the youth personally, building trust and rapport.
  • Assisting with events: Helping with youth events, retreats, and other activities.
  • Providing support: Offering encouragement and helping youth develop goals.
  • Outreach and community involvement: Participating in community outreach activities, such as visiting local schools or clubs. 

Required Skills:

  • Communication: Ability to communicate openly, listen actively, and engage in discussions.
  • Patience and empathy: Understanding and supporting youth through their challenges. 
  • Positive role model: Serving as a positive role model for youth. 
  • Teamwork: Working collaboratively with other volunteers and staff. 

 

Qualifications Required

  • Background Check
  • Age Category Must be at least 18 or older
  • How much can you lift comfortably? Must be at least 20lbs
  • Safe From Harm Training Must be at least Supervisor: Module 5
