Gain experience in the events industry by planning your own event. We are looking for students who want to enhance their skills in event planning/management or who have started out on their events journey and want to enhance their knowledge of this arena. Become part of an exciting industry when you decide to plan your own event and increase your employability by doing it for Charity. Learn new skills, boost your CV and stand out amongst the competition. By volunteering for Beating Bowel Cancer you will be part of a team that is dedicated to saving lives by raising awareness and raising funds for crucial patient support.
The event you choose to run will be up to you, and could be as big or small as you like, it could be a ‘Come Dine With Me’ style evening with friends, or a simple cake sale, or perhaps you would like to organise a pamper/shopping evening, a football match or even a dress up day. Whatever you choose you will be fully supported by your regional fundraiser and we can provide you with a t-shirt, banners, balloons, stickers and leaflets to help your event go with a swing.
This particular role would suit students who, as part of their course, have to run and manage an event but it will also be a good opportunity for those who want to get into the events industry.
You will not need your own transport as the event you choose to run can be done at a convenient location to you. You will need lots of passion, enthusiasm and a desire to succeed. For more information or to start the ball rolling on your event, please contact:- Sherrill Hawker, Community Fundraiser, Sherrill.firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 07825 000445.
