Driver Volunteer (Surrey Adult Autism Centre - Godalming)
We are looking for drivers for our cars and 9 seater vehicles to drive the people we support plus staff on visits to access the local community and to pick up in the morning and drop of in the afternoon to their homes.
Volunteers make a difference and drivers allow people we support to be able to access activities in the local community
You will be volunteering as part of a team to transport the autistic individuals to enable them to participate in activities and live the life they choose.
You must be aged over 21, have 2 years experience of driving and a clean driving licence

We need drivers Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm We can be flexible on the days and times you can volunteer
What you will be doing
- Driving small groups of pupils/people we support and support staff to locations in the local area and collecting and returning them
The skills you need
- A clean driving license and at least 24 months experience of driving
- You must be aged over 21
- A calm approach and a patient attitude

- A knowledge of autism would be useful, but we offer autism awareness training
- A DBS check will be requested as part of this role
- You will be asked to complete an online driving assessment and practical test to familiarise yourself with the vehicles
