Office/Administrative - Treasury Team Members

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is seeking detailed-oriented volunteers to assist the Regional Financial Administrator with the processing of donations during peak campaign periods. 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Accurately counting money
  • Reconciling donation sheets and receipt books
  • Assisting the Regional Financial Administrator with the accurate completion of  financial paperwork
  • Maintaining confidentiality of all donor information

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Very organized and detailed-oriented
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Experience in financial management including budgeting and accounting an asset
  • Pass a Criminal Record Check

  COMMITMENT

  • A renewable commitment of 6 months
  • This is a seasonal position with support required during busy campaign seasons: Monopoly Affair – (February), Daffodil Campaign –( April & May), Tour de Rock – (September & October)
  • Shifts are flexible and generally 4 hours in length
  • Number of shifts varies, ranging from 2 shifts to 10 shifts per campaign
  • Available to volunteer during regular business hours
