Daffodil Campaign - Door to Door - Instruction Booklet and Campaign Preparation

POSITION OVERVIEW:

In this role, volunteers will support the Door to Door canvassing campaign with a focus on electronic mapping of canvassing routes. This is an opportunity for volunteers to learn the skills needed to deploy a large-scale fundraising campaign over a large geographical area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create canvassing maps
  • Prepare, type and organize campaign files and campaign materials
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality, standards and ethics
  • Instruction booklet preparation
    • Cutting and pasting information to create new documents
    • Reviewing document layout for ease of use
    • Maintaining accuracy across multiple documents with slight differences

TRAINING:

  • Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Orientation
  • On-the-job training and introduction to campaign with Annual Giving Coordinators
  • Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Orientation and Handbook, policies and procedures

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Microsoft Office Word and Excel 2010 familiarity is required
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to complete accurate and detailed records
  • Self-motivated, able to multi task, and work as part of a team
  • Friendly and outgoing
  • Willing to learn about the Society’s activities across the Region.

COMMITMENT:

  • 4 hours/week for 6 months
