Live Auction & Gift of Hope Spotters

 

Number of positions available: 7

 

OVERALL PURPOSE:  

Live Auction & Gift of Hope Spotters are distributed evenly throughout the Ballroom to help point out bidders to the Auctioneer during the Live Auction and the Gift of Hope segment.  

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Highly alert and attentive 

  • Able to move quickly   

  • Professional demeanour 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

Just before/During the presentations 

  • If the Spotters see tables in their designated area that aren’t paying attention, spotters will quietly and discreetly make their way to the table and ask the guests to kindly turn their attention to the presentations 

 

Live Auction and Gift of Hope – 9:15 – 10:15 pm 

  • At 9:00 pm, Spotters will move into position so that they are spaced fairly evenly throughout the Ballroom by 9:15 pm.  

  • Spotters will carefully watch and help point out to the Auctioneer any guests who are bidding that he does not see.  

  • If you see someone bidding that the Auctioneer does not appear to notice – say ‘Over Here!’ and wave your arms so the Auctioneer can see and then point to the bidder.
