Volunteer Room Hosts 

 

Number of positions available: 4

 

 

OVERALL PURPOSE:  

Checks in Volunteers and Supervises Volunteer Room 

 

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Organized and efficient 

  • Able to act quickly  

  • Excellent communications skills 

  • Warm, friendly and professional demeanour 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • When volunteers arrive for their shift, the Volunteer Room Hosts will  

  1. check the volunteer on the attendance sheet 

  1. ensure the volunteer fills out Volunteer Information Form (if needed) 

  1. hand out name tag to volunteer 

  1. hand out daffodil pin to wear 

  1. provide any additional materials necessary (such as area maps) 

  1. confirm shift start time & reporting details 

  1. answer any questions the volunteer may have 

  1. direct them into the volunteer room  

  • Throughout the evening, check in on the volunteer room, answer any questions and ensure that all volunteers are taken care of  

  • Liaises with Daffodil Ball Coordinator and troubleshoots if necessary 

 

VOLUNTEER ROOM CHECK-IN TIME:

VOLUNTEER SHIFT: 

Start: 3:00 pm for first shift; 5:00 pm for the second shift TBC 

Finish: 9:00 pm for first shift; 11:00 pm for the second shift TBC
