Daffodil Campaign - Door-to-Door - Appreciation Caller

Represent the Society and support the Revenue Development team by engaging returning event day participants, volunteers and community supporters.

The Canadian Cancer Society relies on community members as a volunteer workforce and for the fundraising that helps achieve our mission. Campaign Engagement Assistants play a direct role in maintaining and building the networks that support our fundraising efforts, build awareness, and impact our mission through cancer prevention, research, and support for those facing the disease.


  • Represent the Society and steward new and previous relationships with participants
  • Conduct telephone calls (warm calls) to thank Canvassers
  • Answer volunteer questions or refer to relevant staff person
  • Update volunteer information as necessary
  • Respect and maintain confidentiality, standards and ethics


  • Play an integral role in the support of the mission, vision and values of the Society
  • Enhance engagement, administrative, team work and organizational skills
  • Enhance the experience of campaign volunteers and clients with a personal phone call
  • Join a team of enthusiastic and interesting people who share a passion for cancer prevention


  • Volunteer Orientation (on-site and position specific)
  • Ongoing support provided by Annual Giving Coordinator


  • Friendly and outgoing with a clear voice and polite telephone manner
  • Previous experience phone calling and with a focus on engagement and customer service
  • Experience engaging and working with diverse groups of people
  • Excellent command of the English language. Fluent in other languages would be an asset
  • Willingness to learn about The Society’s activities across the Region


2 hour shifts
