Vegetable Gardens - Villa Maria School

We have three vegetable gardens that serve Villa Maria School that need some love, depending on the season. Activities range from weeding and watering to more skill-intensive projects.

Courtyards - St. Vincent's Villa

We are fortunate to have these spaces in the midst of our residential treatment center, and we rely on volunteers for their care. Three of our smaller courtyards are adorned with bushes, seating, planters, and pathways, but quickly get in a less usable state if not regularly tended.

These spaces are not only potential resources for respite and therapeutic recreation, but they also provide a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere to those entering the residence or walking its large-windowed hallways.

Organization & Inventory Management - St. Vincent's Villa

Volunteers help us organize our recreation and arts equipment periodically, as well as help organize the school supplies, toys, therapeutic devices, and clothes that are donated to us throughout the year.

Hundreds of donors get involved in Family Services programs, especially at Christmastime, the biggest season for donations to the children. The toys, art supplies, games, and sports equipment can take on significant therapeutic purpose when therapists and residential staff use them with the children in treatment settings from St. Vincent's Villa, to Villa Maria School, to one of the many Community Resource programs. Volunteers who serve in Inventory Management stock, sort, manage, and fill orders for clinicians across the region.

Day of Service

Groups of 2-5 people can work in a courtyard together and TIMES ARE FLEXIBLE on weekdays. When signing up, indicate what day and time works best for your family or group. Tools and gloves provided.

Please contact Volunteer Services at volunteercfs@cc-md.org to schedule a Day of Service that is not already on the calendar.
