Family Services - Youth Behavioral Health & Adult Disabilities - Gallagher & Villa programs


Working with Adults with Intellectual Disabilities - Visitor (Student)

 This is geared towards high school students who need hours for school requirements. Students can interact during the week (9am-3pm) at one of our two day programs or they can volunteer after school and on weekends at one of our group homes in the Baltimore metro area. Group home visits may require the student to prepare a simple activity to do within the homes/apartments. Students may also volunteer on the first and third Sundays of each month from 3pm-4pm for non-denominational religious services at 2520 Pot Spring Rd, Timonium 21093.Students will be placed based on their individual skills and interests when working 1:1 with individuals.

Qualifications Required

  • Background Check
  • Influenza Vaccination Must be at least Temporary seasonal exemption (May 15-Nov. 1)
  • Interview Must be Interview complete
  • Media Release Must be at least Consented
  • Policy forms Must be at least Confidentiality form only
  • Reference check Must be at least 2 clear
  • Sterling Volunteers Criminal Background Check Must be at least Not required (minor)
