Special Events - [REMOTE /OUTDOOR OPTIONS] Activity Architect: Sidewalk Obstacle Course

ACTIVITY ARCHITECTS: Sidewalk Obstacle Course

While the pandemic prevents volunteers from entering St. Vincent’s Villa's facility, we can still deliver outdoor fun for the children! We’re looking for creative people who can design and draw a "Sidewalk Obstacle Course" for the children.

Here are some example we found online:

Design elements for children ages 5-14 years old with minimal required reading. The paths on the campus of St. Vincent's Villa are straight and of ordinary width, though you may utilize a square concrete pad outside the gymnasium, if preferred. Sidewalk Obstacle Courses are typically drawn with chalk.

This volunteer role is contactless. Volunteers will not interact with children. Design the activity remotely; "install" the activity on the grounds of St. Vincent’s Villa when the children are not present. We will schedule this with you. Volunteers must wear masks and practice physical distancing while on site. Bathrooms are not accessible, unfortunately.

Groups of fewer than six volunteers are welcome. Students under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult while on campus. To sign up, click where it says “I would like to volunteer” to fill in a brief volunteer profile.
