Behavioral Health - Working with Youth - Clubhouse Volunteer (Dundalk teen center)

NOTE: This volunteer role requires an application and background screening. Please contact Volunteer Services about the process if you are interested in signing up: volunteercfs@cc-md.org.

The Clubhouse (located at 4 N. Dundalk Ave.) is a safe and accepting space for local teens to hang out with friends, study, eat dinner, and get some enrichment in various life skills, drug education, and job readiness. Teens ages 12 through 17 are welcome at The Clubhouse between 3:00-7:00 PM on weekdays throughout the school year and 12:00-5:00 PM during the summer.

Clubhouse volunteers connect with the teens in casual, supportive relationships. They engage students while playing table games, video games, doing arts and crafts, or serving snacks. Occasionally activities are held outdoors, weather permitting. We ask volunteers to commit to serving at least one day per week for 3 months or longer. Volunteers should possess leadership qualities, be approachable and welcoming, nurturing, consistent, and adept at seeing “what’s strong instead of what’s wrong.”

Minimum volunteer age for this role is 18 years old. Candidates must complete an application, interview, screening, and Pre-Service Training before volunteering. Contact us for details.
