Teen Volunteer Opportunities - Stories with Neighbors

Stories with Neighbors is a space for us to get to know each other and take turns sharing true stories from our lives. Volunteers should be fully present and attentive while people are speaking.
Volunteers will help out by doing the following:
- Setup
- Attend the program and participate
- Serve drinks
- Welcome guests and seat them
- Clean up
We want to hear from you too! Please bring a willingness to speak up and share. The topic of this discussion circle will be family and generations.
These are the discussion prompts we will present to the group:

What is something you’ve learned from someone from a different generation?

If you could tell your younger (or older!) self one lesson, what would it be?

What is it like being a Teen/Adult/Elder in this community?
Please think about these questions and prepare some responses you would be willing to share. If you don’t feel comfortable sharing them yourself, you can also write them down and give them to a library staff member to read anonymously. Since we are asking you do a little work ahead of the event, I will give you credit for 2 additional hours of community service (4.5 total).
Students in high school are welcome to apply.
