Volunteer Opportunities for Teens - Program Volunteer: Family Literacy Day
Family Literacy Day is an event hosted by Alameda County Library’s Education and Literacy Department. The goal of these events is to invite the community to learn new strategies to support reading development and access a variety of free resources (book giveaway, handouts, library resources).
The events are set up in stations to encourage participants to engage in activities at their own pace. Our hope is that families leave with new books and fresh ideas to practice literacy skills together.
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of these events!
Volunteers ensure that we have plenty of people available at each station to engage with participants. Your enthusiasm and presence will keep families wanting to come back next time.
