Homework Help Center Volunteer Training
Homework Help Center volunteers help children in elementary and middle school with their homework under the supervision of a staff member. The Homework Help Center is open every Monday through Thursday from 3:45 to 5:45 pm and runs from September through May.
If you are interested in volunteering in the Homework Center you must be trained. Please sign up to attend ONLY one of the following training sessions:
- Monday, August 17th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, August 18th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM
- Wednesday, August 19th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM
- Thursday, August 20th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM
Requirements to be a Homework Help Center Volunteer
- You are available once a week from 4 to 6 PM.
- You are a high school student.
- You have attended a Homework Help Center Volunteer Training.
- You must commit to volunteering for one 2 hour shift, once per week.
- You must commit to volunteer weekly for the entire semester. September through December is the first semester, January through May is the second semester.
At the discretion of the library, you may have the option to volunteer more than once a week. Speak to the librarian after receiving Homework Help Center training if you are interested.
