Fremont Children's Services Volunteer Opportunities - English Buddies - Volunteer Information & Training Session
The Fremont Main Library is looking for committed volunteers for our English Buddies program. Volunteers in this program will work one-on-one with a learner (4th grade & up) to help them develop their confidence and mastery reading and speaking in English.
Ideal volunteer candidates for this opportunity will possess the following qualifications:

- High School-aged Teen
- Proficient in English (Proof of B grade or higher in English required).
- Bilingual (Preferred).
- Commitment to volunteer for each session in the semester.
- Patience and kindness for our learners.
Interested volunteers should sign up for only ONE of the following training sessions:
- Friday, September 18th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM
- Friday, September 25th from 4:00 - 5:00 PM
Attending an information & training session is mandatory to participate in the English Buddies program. If you have previously attended an English Buddies information or training session, you do not need to attend another session.
Volunteers who attend a training session will earn 1 hour volunteer service credit for attending this preliminary informational session.
