Castro Valley In Person Adult Volunteer Opportunities - Booklegger

Bookleggers are adult volunteers who do book talks at local elementary schools as part of the Library's outreach efforts. The goal of the Booklegging program is to get kids excited about books and visiting the Library.

These adults must attend a six-week training and pass a background check prior to serving as Bookleggers.

Adults who are interested in this opportunity must be available during the day and during the school year, within those parameters the specific volunteer hours are flexible. These volunteers should love books and working with kids, plus be comfortable with public speaking.
