Programmatic - Bilingual Job Search Coach

Support job seekers in writing/updating their resumes. Teach them how to find job opportunities online and how to apply for them.

Use your expertise in career development and online job searches to provide one-to-one assistance to help job seekers to:
Create/update their resumes
Search for jobs online
Showcase their individual skills and talents for prospective employers
Fill out online applications and attaching their resumes

Know that you are helping others to improve their lives
The gratitude you’ll receive from the individuals you assist
Be a part of someone’s success story
Know that you are contributing to making the library continue to be a valuable resource for the community
Improve your own skills and knowledge base

Age 21 or older
Understanding of online job search procedures and resume practices
Excellent oral communication and written skills in both English and Spanish
Good person-to-person skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, the Internet and email
Fingerprint clearance required

Six month commitment
Available at regularly scheduled times, for 2 hours a week - specific times will be determined with library staff
